Equipment

  • 2 Clear Glasses, Jars, or Bowls (8–12 oz)
  • Measuring cups
  • Measuring spoons
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Spoon
  • Cutting board
  • Knife

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Plain Greek yogurt (0% or 2%, your choice)
  • 1 cup Mixed berries (fresh or frozen, thawed)
  • 1 Medium banana, sliced
  • ½ cup Granola
  • 2 tbsp Chia seeds
  • 2 tbsp Chopped almonds or walnuts
  • 1-2 tbsp Honey or maple syrup (optional, to taste)
  • ½ tsp Vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp Ground cinnamon (optional, for cozy flavor)
  • Pinch of Salt (tiny pinch makes the flavor pop)

Instructions

  • Mix the Yogurt Base

Take a small bowl and add the Greek yogurt to it. Stir in cinnamon and a tiny pinch of salt. Add vanilla too, if you are using it. Mix them until they look smooth and creamy. This is the 'cake-like' layer of your Parfait recipe.

  • Get the Fruit Ready

Rinse the berries and make sure they are dry. Slice the bananas into thin coins. Cut the berries into small, bite-sized pieces if they are big. That's how you will get fruits in every spoon.

  • Start the First Layer

To start, grab two glasses or jars and add a few spoonfuls of yogurt to the bottom of each glass or jar. Make it sit nicely and evenly.

  • Add Fruit for Sweetness

Time to add the fruit layer for sweetness. In this step, add berries and a banana to the yogurt. Don't pack it down, keep it light and pretty.

  • Add Crunch and “Staying Power”

Sprinkle in some granola, then add chia seeds and chopped nuts. This is what makes the parfait feel filling and keeps it from being “just yogurt.”

  • Repeat the Layers

Now, you should repeat the layers. Add a layer of yogurt, then a layer of fruit, then a little more granola on top. Finish it with the rest of the nuts and a final pinch of cinnamon.
  • Sweeten (Only If You Want)

If it tastes tart, you can drizzle a little honey or maple syrup over the top. I always prefer natural sweetness that comes from fruits. But you can add honey to get some additional sweetness.

Notes

If you want the best result, let the fruit do the sweet talking. Try to keep the yogurt plain and simple; that's the main thing to focus on when you are preparing this Greek Yogurt Parfait Recipe. Frozen berries are good, but you need to thaw them first so they don't turn the yogurt icy. I prefer adding extra banana for sweetness rather than going heavy on honey.
